The Shinzen Friendship Garden is a traditional northwestern American Japanese Garden. The Garden was built to honor Fresno's Sister City, Kochi, Japan, partying the soul of considerate and encouraging educational and cultural awareness. The beauty, grace, and calmness of Japanese design are present in the use of diverse plant materials, rocks and stones, and water all over the five-acre Garden. The Garden is planned around the four seasons of Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter; granite signs classify each section.
